Welfare Association Jared (WAJ) has been designated by NDMA, Government of Pakistan, as the District Humanitarian Coordination Focal Organization for Mansehra. WAJ will facilitate coordination among government, UN agencies, NGOs, and humanitarian partners to strengthen disaster preparedness, information sharing, joint planning, and timely emergency response, particularly during the 2026 monsoon season.

We are pleased to share that Welfare Association Jared (WAJ) has been designated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of Pakistan, as the District Humanitarian Coordination Focal Organization for District Mansehra under the District-Level Humanitarian Coordination and NGO Clusterization Framework. This designation is part of NDMA's initiative to strengthen government-led humanitarian coordination, preparedness, localization, and effective response in high-risk districts across Pakistan. As the designated focal organization for Mansehra, WAJ will facilitate coordination among government institutions, humanitarian partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and local stakeholders to improve preparedness, information sharing, joint planning, and timely response during emergencies, particularly the 2026 monsoon season. We sincerely thank NDMA, PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, UNOCHA, National Humanitarian Network (NHN), and the Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF) for their trust and confidence in WAJ's commitment and capacity. We look forward to working closely with all humanitarian partners to strengthen localization, enhance coordination, and ensure that vulnerable communities receive timely, effective, and accountable humanitarian assistance. We also invite all humanitarian, development, and civil society organizations operating in District Mansehra to work closely with WAJ under this coordination mechanism. By strengthening collaboration, sharing timely information, participating in district coordination forums, and jointly identifying humanitarian needs and response gaps, we can avoid duplication of efforts, maximize available resources, and ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable communities in an effective, timely, and accountable manner. We look forward to building a strong, inclusive, and coordinated humanitarian platform for the people of Mansehra. Together, we can build more resilient communities through collaboration and collective action.
