WAJ Completes Poultry Support for 55 Vulnerable and Host Community Women

Welfare Association Jared (WAJ), under the supervision of Director Programme Operations Omar Javed, has successfully completed the provision of poultry units to 55 Pakistani Vulnerable and Host Community women in UC Dheenda, villages Padhana and Qazian. Following the completion of 55 poultry sheds, 2-days training of 55 women, WAJ provided essential poultry inputs, including rice husk, poultry feed, feeders, and water drinkers, on 21 August 2026. The vaccinated poultry units were subsequently handed over to the selected women beneficiaries to support household livelihoods, improve food security, and strengthen their income-generating opportunities. The initiative is being implemented under the BeST-RAHAT Project, funded through HOPE’87 with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Government of the Netherlands.
