WAJ Launched a Project ‘Citizens for Good Governance: Strengthening Citizens’ Engagement for inclusive and Accountable Local Governance’ in district Haripur on Dec 27, 2022.The project is implemented with the support of CPDI and IL. Ms. Sana Iqbal, District Social Welfare Officer was the chief guest on the occasion. Other participants included representatives from civil society, minority, transgender, and persons with disability (PWDs), local level elected representatives, political and social activists. Ms. Humaira from Individual Land also attended the event.
Executive Director WAJ, Mr. Mukhtar Javed presented the orientation of Project and role of CPDI & Individual Land at national level and WAJ & IRIS and district level. The participants of the event agreed to work together under the umbrella of WAJ for inclusive and accountable local governance system.
At the end of activity Christmas was celebrated with Christmas cake and lunch was served to the participants.
